When should I switch to follow-up milk? What is the reason?Updated 5 months ago

Breastfeeding is the ideal diet for infants. The World Health Organization recommends breastfeeding exclusively until the child is 6 months old and, in addition to introducing a varied diet, until the child is 2 years old or older. When women cannot or do not want to breastfeed, the French Pediatric Society recommends infant formula until the child is 3 years old.
Between 4 and 6 months, the diversification of baby's diet begins. Milk is no longer their only source of nutrition; other foods now also contribute to meeting their needs so that they continue to grow well. The composition of follow-on milk is therefore modified compared to 1st-age milk to support the diversification of the child's diet while meeting their needs from 6 months.
However, before using our 2nd age milk, we invite you to contact the healthcare professional who is monitoring your child.
